Making Paypal Optional

By admin · Comments (0)

If you are selling your product or service online or even collecting donations and you use or are considering using PayPal (referral link) – listen up!

PayPal is a great option for selling online and it’s not the only service out there. Many major retailers are now accepting PayPal as a payment option because it is so widely used and even more convenient at times for the buyer.

One of the features that makes PayPal a great payment processor for sellers and service providers is that you can accept payments online without a monthly fee or monthly minimum often required by traditional merchant account providers. With PayPal you only pay a small fee when you actually sell something. It’s a great option for those watching their budgets.

If you are using PayPal, make it just a little bit easier on yourself and others. PayPal is a great ecommerce option to facilitate accepting payments online. PayPal gives you many options including email invoices (great for service providers).

However not everyone likes PayPal. In fact, some of your clients might have a passionate dislike for PayPal. How can you still accommodate those clients without completely driving them up the wall? With a couple of clicks of your mouse you can remedy this!

Simply log in to your PayPal account and make having a PayPal account optional for your buyers. This allows your clients to pay you using their credit or debit card in hand without signing up for a PayPal account (or logging in to their existing PayPal account if they have one).

Step #1 To Make A PayPal Account Optional

Click on "Profile"

Log in to your Paypal account and click on “Profile”

Step #2 To Make A PayPal Account Optional

Paypal Website Payment Preferences

Click on “Website Payment Preferences” – under Selling Preferences (the third column)

Step #3 To Make A PayPal Account Optional

PayPal Account Optional

Scroll down the page until you come to the “PayPal Account Optional” section. Click the radio button next to “On”.

Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Save” button. Now you’re all set! In less than five minutes you give your clients the option to purchase your products or services or make a donation without requiring them to sign up or use their PayPal (referral link) account. You just might increase your sales and donations now!

Happy e-retailing!!
